My Family Tree Poem

Dear family tree,
Do you know what you seem to be? Each branch and twig are parts that are covered with your leafy green wig.

Each apple that grows on the end of our branches. Are the same as our family that does our cultural dances. Seeing you grow when each year goes by, Our family family tree grows stronger and taller into the sky.

Like branches on a tree, we grow different ways. But our roots stay. Each of our lives will always be on the other side.

  1. Great poem Chasity! I like your last stanza - you are right, like branches our family members grow in different ways but our roots stay the same. Great use of descriptive language. Keep up the great thinking Chasity!
