My Beautiful Place

Far beyond the edge of the world a candy land comes to life. If you take one step into my candy land your veins will start to giggle with excitement. There are heaps of amazing things in my beautiful place like floating treats, lollies sticking out from the ground and candy houses that are made out of candy. If you come closer I will tell you more about my candy land.

Treats are floating around as though they are balloons. Flavoured gummy bears are huddling around like they are penguins. The leaves off the lolly tree are flying like birds. Beautiful butterflies bounce between blue flowers. The steam from the waterfall rises higher as the water dives into the shallow water.

Birds are singing sweetly as if they joined a church choir. Flavoured fireworks boom and bang as they burst into many different fruit flavours. As it starts to rain gum balls you can hear them hitting the ground.

You can smell the flavoured fire works as they burst. The sweetness in the air is from all the treats and lollies that have been floating around in the air. The beautiful flowers make you feel all happy inside. When you walk into the candy cafe you can smell the yummy strawberry ice-cream that they’re making.

The strawberry flavoured firework tastes delicious because of the sweetness in it. The marshmallow delight melts into your mouth. Chocolate roof from the candy cafe. I can taste the candy that is on my candy land and all the treats that’s on it.

Stickiness on the lollipop when you lick it. When you climb the lolly tree you can feel the chocolate on it.

This beautiful isn’t just a beautiful place it’s my beautiful place.

Chasity Hill

It was windy as I looked out from the stadium to see Piri Weepu tackling the other rugby players as he was trying to get a trie.Mr Weepu has a ta-moko on his right arm and he even likes kinas and Mc Donalds.

Piri doesn’t like rude people, bad people or annoying people because he’s not that kind of person who does that.He sprints as fast as a cheater. When ever you see him doing the haka all you can hear is him shouting out words and slapping his chest with anger.

Piri Weepu looks serious with rugby by the way he plays it.When ever he plays rugby he is always co-operating with his team.He is focused when it comes to rugby.

Piri shows New Zealand how good he is at rugby.

Buddy Writing-Welcoming Tonga.

As I drove into the airport I could hear people screaming out “Chee-Hoo!” Lots of Tongan supporters were singing the marvellous National Anthem to welcome the Tongan Rugby Team.I could see flashes from people’s cameras. There were strangers dancing around
crazy.

When I saw the Tongan Rugby Team come through the door, they looked stunned to see how many people had arrived at the airport. When the Rugby Team started their Tongan Haka, everybody there were so amazed and excited.People were wearing red and white clothing to support their country and flag.

News reporters got demolished from all the kisses and hugs they got from the Tongan people.I was exhausted from standing there in the sun.I was stunned by the sea of red, white and brown.I couldn’t see because people were crowding around the Tongan Rugby Team.People were squashing me like I was play dough.I saw lots of red and white face paintings crowding around me.

I could hear people beeping their horns as they zoomed past waving their flags in the breeze.People were lining the streets shouting out “GO TONGA! YAY!”

The Earths Layers

W.A.L.T:make a model of the layers of the earth out of play-dough

So...that when we learn about natural disasters we can use our knowledge of the layers
to understand them better.

To...help us in topic and science and learn about the earth around us.

The crust
Did you know that the crust has 7 tectonic plates that hold the land and sea.It is about 15-75 km thick.

The mantle
Have you ever wondered about the mantle? Did you know that the mantle has 2 parts, the upper mantle and the lower mantle. The upper mantle is 400km thick and the lower mantle is 2300km thick which is more dense than the upper.

Outer core
Did you know that the outer core is liquid? It contains iron, nickel and sulphur .The outer core is 2300km deep. On earth, sulphur is a soft yellow rock that comes from a star, when a star dies out.

Inner core
The inner core is solid. It contains iron, nickel and sulphur. The temperature of the inner core is
6650 degrees Celsius. It is about 1220km thick.

Chasity Term 2 Goals

Term Two Learning Goals
My learning goal for Reading this term is:
To read more chapter books at school more often.
To achieve this goal,
I will need to read my books every night before I go to bed.
My whanau can help me achieve this by
Making the words challenging for me so if I read that same book again I will know the words off by heart.

My learning goal for Writing this term is
To do my work with out talking to a friend or mucking around like playing hand games.
To achieve this goal, I will need to
Keep on doing my work without talking to my friends when I’m typing my writing.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Sitting down with me and supporting me by checking if it makes sense and has full stops in the correct places and making sure that I have the capital letters in the right places too!

My learning goal for Maths this term is:
To learn my times tables all the way to 12 times tables so that I can get better at recalling them quickly.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
To learn them everyday after school and before I go to school.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Supporting me so that I get better at maths.

My personal goal this term is
To be careful what game I go into because I might go into something that I don’t know and virus might come up.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Go into a different site I know, in case a virus comes up.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Nan watching me or my brother on the computer in case a virus comes up, so if a virus does come, up she can fix it.
